Who do you want to be governor?
By Leo Canty
Now that M. Jodi Rell is out – chances for a Democrat to move into the governor’s mansion have increased tremendously. Stands to reason then that the field of candidates would expand since the prize has become closer to eeveryone’s reach.
M.Jodi Rell, in a recent Q Poll held on to her level of support even though she’s done more to set Connecticut back than any governor in recent history. Yet people liked her. Me too
Paraphrasing Ricardo Montalban as satired by Billy Crystal, “It didn’t matter what she did as long as she looked mmaarrvelouss”
So, Rell’s popularity is a moot point now and without her name on the ballot – who gets to take her place after the popularity poll scheduled for November 2, 2010. Will CT vote for someone who looks good or will do good. Start practicing to be a judge because you get to help make that decision -
Here’s the list of potential candidates – so far- and a web link to a site that might provide you with more info- click on their name.
Any of them you’d like to call Gov?
Jim Amann – Former House Speaker – only officially declared candidate
Susan Bysiewicz – Former State rep – Secretary of the State

Gary LeBeau – State Senator – former teacher
Dannel Malloy – Former Stamford Mayer – ran for gov in 2008
Rudy Marconi – Ridgefield First Selectman – business man
Dick Blumenthal – Attorney General – said he IS NOT running for Governor
